The campground offers 140 campsites sites, many with platforms. Comfortable camping, a relaxing atmosphere, a beach, and plenty of outdoor activities make this a great destination not far from New York City. A protected swimming beach is available when lifeguards are on duty.

The park features 79 tents and RV sites and group camping. The large sandy beach at Canopus Lake is the focal point of the park, including Stillwater Lake and 4 other ponds. Rowboats are available for rental. The Taconic Outdoor Education Center provides high quality environmental programming.
