Hours of Operation

Park hours and facility operations are subject to change. Patrons are encouraged to contact the park directly to confirm operating hours before traveling.

• The park is open year round, on a day use basis.
  Hours: 9 am - closing time
• Minnewaska Nature Center Summer Hours:
  Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. from Memorial Day until Columbus Day.
  Staff will be either at the Nature Center or out in the Park leading public programs during these time slots. When the building is closed, an information center will be available on the porch to assist patrons with questions about the Park Preserve.

• Lake Awosting Beach (swimming) - 6/18/11 – 9/5/11 Weekends and Holidays 11:00 am – 5:30 pm; 6/27/11 – 9/2/11, 11:00 am – 5:30 pm, daily.

• Lake Minnewaska Beach (swimming) - 6/18/11-9/5/11:  Weekends, Holidays and Weekdays 11:15 am – 6:45 pm

• Deer hunting is allowed in specific sections of the park during season.
• Empire Passport Doesn't Apply to Cross Country Skiing or Rock Climbing.
